easter egg extravaganza!

my friends and family really mix well with becca’s family.  i absolutely love her family and feel so welcome and comfortable.  i’m the luckiest person ever.  i have a great family of my own and an amazing new family to be a part of.  wow!  who could ask for a better life.  if only my job would equal my family!  that might be a little too much happiness.  i guess there has to be some balance, huh?  thank you carles and hamptons for making me and my family feel so welcome in your family!  i love you all!

i’m sure becca will post more details of her family’s interesting traditions and "football" style easter egg hunt!  let’s just put it this way…becca is sore and has bruises and i ended up with huge bag of m&ms and a bunch of change!  good times!

so there are lots of fun stories about the floor, but i think i let becca tell them.  i’m just glad to be done! 

new room color

as you may have seen on becca’s blog, we painted the room…twice.  here is a pic of the new room color.  we will be installing hardwood floors friday and moving ou bedroom that night or saturday.  woo-hoo!!  that means we get to buy a king size bed.  no we can fit a little better with all three dogs sleeping with us!!

both windows are painted white now…don’t worry.  we will keep you updated on the room as it progresses.

i need a job!  i’m getting really down on myself and starting to really wonder what i’m supposed to do in this life.  i need a challenging, rewarding job that i won’t get bored with.  that’s not too much to ask is it???  i know, i know…that’s what everyone wants, but i just feel like fate should be stepping in at some point soon.  i know i have to work at finding a job, but fate could help out a little bit here!!!!!

st. patty’s day AND heather’s b-day!!!

we all went to boscos to celebrate heather’s 28th b-day and had a blast.  there was a contest to see who could get the most free plastic beer cups…i’m still not sure who won, but we ended up bringing 6 home with us.  i had an amazing steak and ate way too much!! 

heather and kyle are an amazing couple and i thouroughly enjoyed spending time with them!  i wish you guys the BEST of luck!!!  thanks for including us in your special night!

monday night family dinner

so as most of you know we have family dinner every monday night.  sometimes it’s on wednesdays, but for the most part it’s every monday.  this week, my dad’s foot was hurt and swollen, but he still managed to cook chicken on the grill!!  yummy!  i look forward to the surprise of wat we are going to eat each week…and there’s always dessert!  maybe tht’s why i have a hard time with my weight!  anyway…just wanted to share some pics of family time:)

I LOVE NAME BRAND CLOTHING!!  me and rhonda hung out today and got our shop on!  i’m addicted to name brand clothing in NLR.  i got some $5 american eagle jeans with holes in them last time and tried on A LOT of things today.  didn’t buy anything, but that’s cool. it was fun just to try on and hang out with my big sis.  we also went scrub shopping and i got some cute new scrub pants for my lady and some VERY CUTE scrubs for rhonda.  they’re Dickies brand.  low rise and flare, very fashionable.  rhonda’s are black with a baby pink stripe down the side of the arm and leg of the pants.  she is so skinny!

well…i’m officially done.  i had to go in one last time today to open the door for the fedex guy to pick up the last of the boxes and to turn in my keys.  wow…didn’t think it would bother me, but when you go to a place for almost 4 years of your life, it’s weird to think you won’t be going back.  it was like my second home/family.  i will really miss the people.  NO…not the customers, but my wonderful employees.  bridet, chris, tommy, jordan, chad s., chad v., gibby, mallory, quisha, doug, morgan…they will all be missed.  i mean, bridget is my sister!!  i know she’s black and i’m white, but chu know….that don’t mean nothin!  anyway…maybe i’ll find a job NOT in the mall and i can move on from this part of my life.  who’s knows what the future has in store for me. 

in the meantime, PLEASE keep me in mind for any jobs that may come open!

god, it was a gorgeous day today!

i got to plant some bulbs in the backyard while katy and becca stripped some old windows that we are going to put stained glass in.  we are now just chillin, havin a drink and are going to cook burgers on the grill.  i couldn’t ask for a more relaxing day.

we’re having a sleepover/butchfest this weekend.  our friends katy and pico are joining us for a little home improvement and fun this weekend.  we love them!!  good times!
