MORE b-day gifts!

BONO!

this is pretty much for Leigh and Katy….it is a painting done by the owner of Angles Salon on Kanis.  I’v been going there a while and the owner, Michael has some amazing art.  the one in his room is of Edward Scissorhands.  The Bono one was just so good i had to get a picture of it for my U2 crazy friends.  just to give you an idea of it’s size, that is a desk to the bottom right of it.  it’s about 3.5 feet by 5 feet.  very cool!

look what we won….just kidding.  But..we are thinking about renting it as a wedding get-away car!!!

We had a blast and kicked some major butt in rugby.  So many good times i can’t even try to list them all.  lot’s of laughing in the car, lights out and sprinklers, carrying beer in a plastic bag, CHOPPER SAYS and fish tacos at 2 am.  You just can’t beat that!  I love all you guys who went and i thank you so much for such a good time and great memories.  Here is the link to the photo album!  Enjoy!!!

I think I’ve gained 10 pounds…

…but i’ve had a blast!  I’ve had one of the best b-days ever.  you’ve already read about my day thursday.  well…friday i had to work until 4, but I got flowers at work from my dad and my old friends from Express brought me a cookie cake!!  Gotta love those guys!  then becca took me to Vermillion downtown and we had a fabulous fancy dinner and got to dress up.  then as we arrived home i noticed the house was decoratd and all my friends’ cars were outside!  SURPRISE!!  the house was covered in pink balloons and streamers and all my favorite people were there.  there was lots of food and drink and great company.  we ate and a few of the peeps braved the heat and shot hoops on our newly installed basketball goal.  my sis gave me a mosaic mirror she made herself from flea market mugs and plates.  it is so awesome!!!  After everyone left, becca and I stayed up half the nght just talking.  it was a perfect day.  saturday we got up and headed to martha’s for lunch.  the front of the house was covered in pink balloons and the dining room was taken over by STRAWBERY SHORTCAKE and her friends.  there was a dozen pink roses that smelled wonderful as well.  it was great.  i got to eat all my favorite foods and got wonderful strawberry cake.  i got new sheets and waterford crystal ring holder.  oh and a strawberry shortcake coloring book from Boomer the dog and some strawberry jam from Daddy Barnes!  sunday i had inventory at work and had to get up EARLY, but for dinner we all went to my dad’s house to celebrate mine and rhonda’s b-day.  her b-day is wednesday so we always do a joint dinner with the family.  we had b-bque pork, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, white gravy, biscuits, rolls, mac and cheese, ranch style beans and 3, yes 3, desserts.  my dad and linda made our 3 favorites: red hot cake, buttermilk pound cake and cream cake with strawberries..  OH MY GOSH, it was a lot!!  i got some great cards and some movie passes and will get my gift from my dad at a later time….A DECK!!!!  i am so spoiled and the luckiest person i know!!!  thank you to all my friends and family and to my lady becca for making this one of the best birthdays ever!

pink explosion!!!!

         

becca and i both have to work tomorrow which is my b-day and we are both off today, so we are celebrating a day early.  first, i was awakened by the smell of pancakes.  i had pancakes with strawberries and homeade whipped cream!  YUMMY!!!  then, i got to open my presents.  i got a book i’ve been wanting to read and a hot pink luggage set!!!!  I LOVE IT ALL!!  then, we went shopping for some much needed new work shoes.  i found a black pair and a brown pair that are SO comfy and i also got a casual pair of sandals that are awesome as well.  i bought the work shoes with b-day money and becca bought me the other pair.  now, becca is making us BLTs for lunch and then we are on a mission to find me a new purse.  what a lady i have!!!!
