update

so…many of you are asking about my job so i thought i’d give a mass update.  things are going well.  benji and i are watching movies, doing homework, going to the park, playing games…it is going well.  it is nice to have something to do and get a paycheck!  the only bad part is the benefits…i’m trying to stay at 30+hours a week so i can get benefits.  the bad part is that you have to be full time for 3 months to get them!  yuck!!  i need to get some things taken care of now!  i really need to get a sore tooth looked at and it is about time for some new glasses!  not to mention we really want to start working on a family!!  so not only do i have to wait 3 months, but if i can’t stay at 30 hours or more, i won’t even get benefits!  scary!  the big 3-0 is fast approaching and it is a little scary to be without benefits as I get older.  it starts getting more expensive and harder to get insurance!  well, keep your fingers crossed and we will have to just see what happens!  i have to have benefits so hopefully it will work out.  otherwise, it’s back to the drawing board with the job hunt!  yikes!!!!!

I got a job!!!!!

Well, after months of searching and recovering from 5 years of retail…i have found a job that will definitely add some meaning to my life.  I will be working through Easter Seals for Michelle Frost.  My techincal title will be Supportive Living Companion.  I will be "supporting" Michelle’s son Benjiman and helping him learn life skills and accomplishing daily goals.  I am very excited and I think Benji is as well.  Most of you might know his little brother Nathan who Katy hangs out with.  She posted about us taking him to Chucky Cheese.  Anyway, I will hopefully be able to keep 30+ hours a week for three months and then I will be elligible for benefits!!!  Woo-Hoo!  I start Monday so wish me luck!

going to see my big sis!

well, my lovely lady surprised me for valentine’s day and bought me a ticket to go visit rhonda!  she is so thoughtful and just a perfect wife!  I love her and thank her so much for this great gift!  I leave today and get back sunday.  rhonda has today and tomorrow off from school so we actually get to go have fun and not study!!  woo-hoo!  I will REALLY miss soccer on sunday!  hope you guys can make it without me:)  have a great weekend here in the rock and I will see you all when I get back! 

Reminder:  Saturday the rugby girls will be hosting a fundraiser poker tournament at the Albert Pike Hotel downtown on scott street at 7:00.  $20 to play or if you don’t want to play it is $10 to get in and enjoy all the food, beer & wine you want!  There will also be a silent auction with lots of great items such as food and massages!!  go support our ladies!
